Data migration

Switch software without losing your history, checked before anything is posted

Selling on KiotViet or MISA eShop today? Fill in one form and press Start: GrowFly reads and checks the whole store without posting anything. You read the report, and only when it looks right do you press "Post into the books". Try it below — four presses.

GrowFly demo shop — the real software, sample dataOpen full screen

Use the real GrowFly, right here

This is not a picture: you go into the software itself, on a sample shop with products, customers and orders. The try-it guide walks you through this line of work step by step.

On a phone, the GrowFly app opens in a new tab.

  • A shared sample shop — don't enter real information.
  • Data is refreshed every night at 3:00 (Vietnam time).
  • Payments, shipments and e-invoices in the demo are simulated.

No tech skills needed

No IT person, no spreadsheets

You copy a connection key from the old software; GrowFly does the rest and checks its own work.

  • One form, line by line

The "Data migration" form spells out each step: where in KiotViet or MISA eShop to get the key, which box to paste it in, which button to press.

  • Look first, post later

"Start" only reads and checks. Nothing reaches the books until you've read the report and pressed "Post into the books".

  • Waits and carries on by itself

The old software limits how much can be read per hour. When it hits the limit, GrowFly waits and carries on — no need to sit and watch.

What comes over to GrowFly

From KiotViet, nearly the whole store; from MISA eShop, what MISA's API gives.

  • Products with barcodes and price books

Product groups, brands, variants, units, barcodes, price books, low-stock levels, combos; lots, expiry dates and serial numbers.

  • Customers and suppliers

Customers keep their gender, birthday and loyalty points; suppliers come too.

  • The whole history, on its own dates

Goods receipts, sales with seller and channel, returns, transfers, payments and deposits, open orders, supplier orders not yet received.

  • Branches become warehouses and tills

Each branch becomes a warehouse and a till; bank accounts and the cash book come along.

  • Stock and debts match the old system

After posting, each branch's stock and every debt are brought level with KiotViet's figures.

  • Vouchers become coupon codes

Voucher campaigns still running become promotions; unused vouchers become coupon codes.

  • From MISA eShop

Branches, products, units, prices, combos, customers and invoices from a date you choose; stock matched to MISA.

  • Bring over what is new

Still some sales on the old system after moving? Press "Bring over what is new" for everything since the last run.

Nothing is posted that you haven't seen

Migration happens once — so GrowFly shows you first, then does it.

Check report

See what will be posted before it is

After reading, GrowFly writes a report: the history's first and last dates, sales, how many documents of each kind wait to be posted, which customers' debts don't add up. Anything that blocks posting is spelled out; fix it and press "Check again".

  • Failed records are listed with the reason
  • It says in advance how many item–branch figures will be brought level

Said up front

What comes over, and what doesn't

Right on the form, each platform lists what comes over and what its API won't give — so you can prepare, with no surprises after the move.

KiotViet

Comes over

  • Branches, bank accounts
  • Products, barcodes, price books, lots, serials
  • Customers (with points), suppliers
  • Invoices, receipts, returns, transfers
  • Payments, cash book, vouchers
  • Stock and debts matched

Not in the API

  • Stock counts, write-offs
  • Returns to suppliers
  • Staff accounts
  • Promotions other than vouchers

MISA eShop

Comes over

  • Branches
  • Products, units, prices, combos
  • Customers
  • Invoices from a chosen date
  • Stock matched

Not in the API

  • Goods receipts, transfers
  • Cash book
  • Suppliers, debts

MISA has announced the end of its OpenAPI from 30/06/2026.

What you need

  • The store owner's account on KiotViet (Store settings → API connection settings) or MISA eShop (API menu → create a connection key) to get the key.
  • Stop selling on KiotViet while GrowFly reads the store, and don't sell in GrowFly until posting has finished.
  • Not in KiotViet's API, so not moved: stock counts, write-offs, returns to suppliers, staff accounts, promotions other than vouchers. The closing stock count takes their effect into account.
  • Not in MISA eShop's API: goods receipts, transfers, the cash book, suppliers, debts. MISA has announced the end of its OpenAPI from 30/06/2026 — moving works only while MISA's API still answers.
  • "Post into the books" can't be undone with a button — read the check report carefully first.
  • From Excel files: use the standard Data Import tool for each kind of record.

Four steps, one form

  1. 1

    Get the connection key

In KiotViet or MISA eShop, create an API connection and copy the key into the "Data migration" form.

  2. 2

    Check the connection

GrowFly tells you how many products, customers and invoices the store has.

  3. 3

    Start, read the report

Everything is read and checked — nothing posted yet.

  4. 4

    Post into the books

Documents are posted on their original dates; later, "Bring over what is new" handles anything since.

Questions

Questions about data migration

Don't see your question? Ask us directly.

Talk to us
Can I keep selling while it moves?

Stop selling on KiotViet while GrowFly reads the store, and don't sell in GrowFly until posting has finished. Sold a bit more on the old system afterwards? Press "Bring over what is new" to move it.

What if the old data has errors?

"Start" only reads and checks. The report shows anything that blocks posting and every failed record, with the reason. Nothing reaches the books until you press "Post into the books".

Will stock match KiotViet?

Yes. GrowFly sets opening stock just before the first document, replays the history, then does a closing count so each branch ends on KiotViet's figures. Debts are brought level too.

What comes over from MISA eShop?

Branches, products, units, prices, combos, customers and invoices from a date you choose; stock matched to MISA. MISA's API doesn't give goods receipts, transfers, the cash book, suppliers or debts. MISA has announced the end of its OpenAPI from 30/06/2026, so moving works only while the API still answers.

I use other software, or just Excel?

Use GrowFly's standard Data Import tool to bring in products, customers and more from Excel files.
